Have you tried this?

Never heard of it untill "Texas Joe" was on "Dragon's Den"!

Haven't seen his brand, but have seen a few others, though resisted as teeny tiny little bags were silly money.

Just caved in today and bought a packet of Tesco labelled for £1.69!

I was sort of expecting it to rehydrate, on chewing, so it would feel like much more!

It looks like scabs, and probably tastes like scabs, so I certainly wouldn't buy again!

I would recommend proper biltong from a decent South African shop and ask for it a bit wet, they'll slice it off, it really is great stuff, the beef jerky imo isn't so nice.. Texas Joe's was in sainsburys a few years ago was ok but wouldn't buy again.

I've tried beef jerky and thought it was rather unpleasant and spat it out!

John Lennon named a song after it.

I thought beef jerky was a dog treat. I used to buy them from the pet store for my dog.

Well the one I had was dire, and if that is typical of the stuff, I can't see anybody buying again!

I think there were about ten of these 'scabs', which would be 17p each, and comparing it to shoe leather is too kind!

Then the taste.....what taste? Chewing my toe nails would be a better experience!

Are you sure you didn't buy ones meant for dogs? Confused

Now that you ask....no I'm not sure, but I did think that the cartoon image, of what I assumed to be a cow,
actually looked more like a dog!

Look at the list of alledged ingredients...

.....not one of them is evident in the flavour!
