I would recommend proper biltong from a decent South African shop and ask for it a bit wet, they'll slice it off, it really is great stuff, the beef jerky imo isn't so nice.. Texas Joe's was in sainsburys a few years ago was ok but wouldn't buy again.

I've tried beef jerky and thought it was rather unpleasant and spat it out!

I thought beef jerky was a dog treat. I used to buy them from the pet store for my dog.

Well the one I had was dire, and if that is typical of the stuff, I can't see anybody buying again!
I think there were about ten of these 'scabs', which would be 17p each, and comparing it to shoe leather is too kind! Then the taste.....what taste? Chewing my toe nails would be a better experience! |

Are you sure you didn't buy ones meant for dogs?

Now that you ask....no I'm not sure, but I did think that the cartoon image, of what I assumed to be a cow,
actually looked more like a dog! |

Must be fattening, look at Ray Mears he's always munching on this type of shoite.

Look at the list of alledged ingredients...
