No techie, there may well be better options, but you can buy a `Chromecast` for about £40(?), which plugs into the back of your tv; this will receive a wifi signal from your phone, playing on your tv whatever you`re watching on your phone. (Assuming the site is compatible with casting, which Nowtv is. As are most other sites you`re likely to need.)

Yeah I use chrimcast mate but it affect my hotspot allowance. I have no landline and have 3 data unlimited but can only use 30GB hotspot for casting. Hoping I can bypass the hotspot and connect direct to the tv.

You just need a ligthning to tv adaptor, connects your iphone to HDMI socket on TV via HDMI cable. Don't buy the Apple one, it's just extortion, plenty on eBay that come with the HDMI cable (about £8), just do a search.

Ok so i went for it and bought myself a Apple lightning tv hdmi adapter for the ridiculous price of £50 from Argos. It works fine but Sky/NowTv have blocked the hdmi port so it is useless for streaming football. B@stards!! I'm taking it back to Argos this morning and fingers crossed I get my £50 back.

Any suggestions for getting illegal streams onto a 10 year old Sony TV. Got HDMI ports.
Have iPhone 6 and iPad available. Have been watching the cricket on my pc using a VPN in India and stream from Sony LIV. 5 minute delay I think but I am not bothered by that. |
