When it comes to value for money and sheer excitement cricket has no equals.Kickball = emperor's new clothes.

I've never been to a 20-20 game, The Oval is not that far from me and I've always supported Surrey since I was a kid so although it really is not a form of cricket that appeals to me I'll endeavour to go to a game this season.

OK gents, I'll go to a game soon. I'm just really old school as far as my cricket goes, I used to go to all the test matches at The Oval and Lords for the full 5 days and have seen all the greats in my time. This crash, bang, wallop cricket really isn't my cup of tea but I'll give it a chance!

By:
If you catch a six at the oval in the T20 I think you win a grand.

twizzle22, I wouldn't be backing Glamorgan at odds on with stolen money this year. Overseas recruitment has been a disaster - Khawaja has gone home and Marsh/Burns are injured. No quality spinner and I don't trust swing bowlers like Wagg and Meschede in this format, especially with short straight boundaries in Cardiff. They're in a bit of form and Ingram is back but not for me @ 4/5. Good luck though.

get on lans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! easy win

Cost me £33 to see Essex v Glamorgan a couple of weeks ago.
Cracking game though, which Eesex managed to lose from an unloseable position. |
|
By:
Richie..I am an Essex supporter and i can tell you my side are in total disarray.Glamorgan have won there last 3 matches including wins against table topping Surrey and in form Gloucester.Essex on the other hand have won just ONE game in the 20/20 this year that was against fellow basement club Middlesex.Adding to that we are without star batsman Dan Lawrence. As expected the 4/5 has all gone.As you state Colin Ingram is back for Glam and he is a MASSIVE player.
*I priced this game up at 4/7 Glam so there is still plenty of value in taking the 8/11 with Sky(if they allow you more than a tenner). |
|
By:
be intersting to see the size of the crowd , weather set fair and on sky sports too
|
|
By:
Have a good evening at OT Dragon...speaking of Dragons..COME ON YOU DRAGONS
![]() Spreadex amazingly still offering 4/5 on Glam..8/13 with 365 * Surrey not top ..apologies to Somerset supporters ![]() |

I think you can forgive some of Essex's recent form: they had a ridiculous travel schedule, arriving in Taunton at 2.45 am after the previous night's game in Canterbury. And there's still a lot of proven matchwinners in that squad, like Zampa and ten Doeschate.
And Glamorgan are ... well, they're Glamorgan, aren't they? As Richie_Burnett says, they've somehow managed to sign half the Australian squad, yet ended up with none of them actually playing. I know that players like Meschede and Ruaidrih Wossname have put in some really good performances lately, but they still have a way to go before you could rely on them every time. Laid Glum at 1.76 here. |
|
By:
Hmm... 8 for 2 Glum
Laid Essex at 1.69 to green up, with Ingram still there for Glum. |
|
By:
Phew ... A handy 30-run over there from Ingram.
|
|
By:
1.4 a bit short with 3 wickets down. Laid Glum again.

I've crunched the numbers. Bowling wise both sides are even. Batting wise Lancashire better in the middle order so expect a Lancashire win.
|
|
By:
Average and economy wise:
Lancashire batting score 199, bowling concede 158 Durham batting score 165, bowling concede 159 |
|
By:
Yippee! Ingram gawn!
Laid Essex 1.76 to green up again. |
|
By:
Dragons 197..should be enough
|
|
By:
198 even
