What has happened to the missing midwife?

It's an odd case, Meat.  I've only seen the pic of her leaving the ward and her Sis last night on the box.

I hope she is well.

Arrested a 32 years old released on bail.

Her ex fiance is 34 years old.

A scream was heard near the home of a midwife who has been missing for nearly a week, police have said.
Samantha Eastwood, 28, was last seen leaving Royal Stoke University Hospital at 07:45 BST on Friday and did not return later for her night shift.

She has not used her bank cards or car since going missing, police believe.

Det Supt Simon Duffy said the report by neighbours of hearing a scream "forms part of one of a number of theories" regarding Ms Eastwood's disappearance.

The noise was heard in the vicinity of Ms Eastwood's address in Stockton Brook, Stoke-on-Trent, at about 14:00 on Friday.

Brother in law of ex-fiance is 32 I believe

Has she had an affair with the brother in law? Do we have a name? Previous convictions etc?

How far is the hospital from where she lives and how long does it take to get between the two places?  Did she go by car or foot?  Is the car at the hosp or her home?

If she left the hosp @ 0745 & was due for nightshift later, is it not highly likely she would have been asleep at 1400 when the scream was heard?

I remember a midwife went missing a few years ago.  Turned out she'd fallen into Kerry Katona's fánny.  Elon Musk rescued her with one of his subs.

Reminds me of the Claudia Lawrence case.

The body, which is yet to be formally identified, was found in Caverswall, about 10 miles from Stoke-on-Trent, where Ms Eastwood was last seen.

A 32-year-old man arrested last Sunday on suspicion of kidnap has been rearrested on suspicion of murder.


Two other men, aged 28 and 60, are being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A man has been charged with murdering 28-year-old midwife Samantha Eastwood.

Michael Stirling, aged 32, from Cromer Road, Stoke-on-Trent will appear before North Staffordshire Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

Samantha's body was discovered during a police search of rural ground near to Caverswall on Saturday 4 August.
