Little Khan is extending the 20 mph limit in London in order to save lives.

How slow is too slow?

Still better than speed bumps.

I watched a car negotiate a speed bump, it was a low slung car and the speed bump had a pot hole right up against the start of the rise.

I heard a crunch as the bottom of the car hit the bump. And then again as the back wheel went in the hole.
I wondered how many cars had been damaged by that one?

Wonder if they'll check the speed of electric bikes in London.

Quite possibly the most interesting anecdote of the 21st century coming up *ahem*...

I've been going in to my local supermarket two or three times a week for ypnks, but it was only noticed the other day that there are 5mph signs painted on the tarmac in the car park (not new ones - must've been there for years).

I decided to try and drive at or below 5mph... it can't be done?! Seriously, give it a shot. A merest tickle on the accelerator pulling away and your speedometer will insist landing on the moon would be easier* than keeping below about 15mph. Then try to keep it as slow as you can go... your lack of progress will be ridiculed by a 90 year old quadrupede popping in for yesterday's paper.

*no offense terry

Electric bikes AFAIK in the uk are limited anyway, I think it's a 15mph cut off at which it stops trying to help.
