Still better than speed bumps.
I watched a car negotiate a speed bump, it was a low slung car and the speed bump had a pot hole right up against the start of the rise. I heard a crunch as the bottom of the car hit the bump. And then again as the back wheel went in the hole. I wondered how many cars had been damaged by that one? |

Quite possibly the most interesting anecdote of the 21st century coming up *ahem*...
I've been going in to my local supermarket two or three times a week for ypnks, but it was only noticed the other day that there are 5mph signs painted on the tarmac in the car park (not new ones - must've been there for years). I decided to try and drive at or below 5mph... it can't be done?! Seriously, give it a shot. A merest tickle on the accelerator pulling away and your speedometer will insist landing on the moon would be easier* than keeping below about 15mph. Then try to keep it as slow as you can go... your lack of progress will be ridiculed by a 90 year old quadrupede popping in for yesterday's paper. *no offense terry |

Electric bikes AFAIK in the uk are limited anyway, I think it's a 15mph cut off at which it stops trying to help.
