I'm surprised this is Halal meat. Place is always packed with foreigners, probably residents, as you would expect in Bradford but also many white people, obviously not all English. I feel like standing outside and telling the ****s, the meat you are about to eat has been treated like ****.

Some kind of chicken (could have been Peri-Peri) and rice, served in a small ramekin, that could have been devoured in three to four, not greedy, forkfulls!
As a starter it would have been acceptable....
Was I missing something?

I've been once as well, I went with a couple of friends who go often to the one in Streatham. I had a pitta bread wrap with chicken and a bit of salad and a couple of Sagres beers, which although unremarkable it was edible enough but not a place I'd ever care to frequent again personally.

I'll treat that with the contempt it deserves, moisok,
Halal Chicken
We have 402 restaurants, 73 of which serve only Halal chicken and are signposted both in the restaurant and online. A small proportion of chicken sold in our other restaurants may also be Halal. This may happen on rare occasions if there are, for example, issues with supply. However, all of our chickens are packaged, labelled and distributed to their intended restaurant. We continue to look at ways to offer chicken dishes which are guaranteed to be non-Halal.

• Sign on the entrance of the restaurant • On the relevant restaurant page on this website • Certificate from our supplier (Freemans), certifying the chickens in that restaurant are supplied by them
Please ask a member of staff at Nando’s if you are unsure. Who supplies our Halal chicken?
Our Halal chickens are supplied to us by Cargill Freemans of Newent. They are authorised by the Islamic Institute of Jurisprudence and are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Halal chicken.
We are committed to the highest standards and therefore the quality, welfare and health of our chicken is a priority. We ensure that Cargill Freemans of Newent follow the strict Red Tractor Farm Assurance Standards. All our chickens are indoor-reared. They are pre-stunned which minimises suffering and fear. The method used is a high frequency stun – this means the chicken is still alive, but unconscious when it is hand slaughtered and blessed by licensed Muslim slaughter men. Their slaughter process is overseen by Mr. Ali Bham who has been a practising Muslim slaughter man for over 20 years.
All of our Halal products are clearly segregated at our supplier and in our distribution centre. Our Halal serving restaurants are authorised only to receive poultry from our approved distribution centre. Why do we serve Halal chicken in selected restaurants?
We always decide which restaurants will serve Halal chicken before it first opens. We base our decision on a range of criteria, such as:
• Local population • Type of restaurant • Potential future openings in the area • Distance to nearest restaurant serving Halal chicken • Distribution factors

OK kenny mann cheers for that, I would never knowingly eat halal meat but as I said earlier, Nandos is not a place I'd ever rush back to and in fact I never eat fast food apart from a take away pizza from my local family run Italian restaurant Lorenzo's in Crystal Palace which I have been going to for 40 years and it never disappoints.

Anyway, it's next door to Spoons which I visit most days, so today I popped in and noticed it was 85% occupied by foreigners. Don;t know if that's the norm. So I approached 2 white couples and asked them if is was Halal meat. They both said I hope not. So I went back 10 mins later and told them I'd discovered it is. Pointed to the notice. One couple seemed horrified, the other said it tastes ok. 1-2 ain't bad.
