trump was a very good golfer who played off 3 or 4
he may have been better than that in reality 20 years ago or so
id be surprised if he could play off 3 these days but not impossible if he still had the very decent short game he had back then
maybe his handicap has remained where it was by lack of competitive golf he would be a handicap snip off 14/15

Trump is admittedly small time compared to one famous former occupant of the Oval Office..https://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2010/07/09/bill-clinton-famed-golf-cheat-preaches-truth
Trump is without doubt a man whose ego means his handicap belies his ability.
100% without doubt a 'ball rolling down the trouser leg' and 'leather wedge' kind of a player......

NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico is busy providing commentary for the British Open this week in Carnoustie, but he made an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show Friday and recalled a foursome he once played with Donald Trump and former Monday Night Football commentators Jon Gruden and Ron Jaworski.
“Before he was president, I played golf with Donald Trump, Jon Gruden and Ron Jaworski. The first year or second year that was our Monday Night Football booth…. We get up to the practice tee and Jaws, Gruden and I are up on the practice ground. Trump comes up and he looks at us and he goes ‘alright it’s me and Gruden. I’m taking the champ, I like winners.’
… Actually the funny story from that was Gruden rented clubs, it was at Trump’s course in Jersey. Gruden said ‘I love these clubs,’ Trump said ‘they’re yours! Keep them, I’ll send them to you.’”
Tirico also said that Trump is an expert putter.
“There are legendary stories of Trump and golf. I can tell you this, he’s still for his age – at that time he was in his mid-60s – had a good swing, good turn. He still does. And was a very key, clutch putter. He could make a big putt from anywhere on the green.”
