If he's going to be PM it should be well before then. May shouldn't be allowed to wobble on another 4 and half months.
But Boris? Not that there's a great deal to replace May Mogg Gove Hunt Boris Javid That's about it ![]() ![]() Give it to Hunt I say, make me laugh at least |

Well I like BoJo.
For all his failings he is of good intent imo. Let him go in. Tread on a few toes. Break a few cups and saucers. Storm and bluster his way through negotiation. Or non-negotiation. Whatever. Just get us out of where we are right now. And then, when the dust has settled, if we need to repair a few bridges so be it. |

Surely if there is a leadership battle the party essentially splits in two and there'll be half the party who are winners and the other losers. Not in the usual, "I back Fox" (Fox gets eliminated), "I back Leadsom" (Leadsom gets eliminated) "I back May" style. But actually having a group of candidates and praying it's one of them and not one of the other lot.
There's now just a simple arbitrary split between the views on Brexit and I don't think the loons are going to take it if May is replaced by another Remainer. Similarly if Boris were to get the job I think the Remainers would be up in arms. I think they've reached the stage now where they can't even get a simple majority within their own party. Forget the billions given to the DUP, there are enough backbenchers now who will simply defy the whip on brexit if it's not to their liking. It's increasingly possible that one side or the other could threaten and go through with breaking away to form a new party, join UKIP or work as independents such is the chasm between both sides on this. |

Good post PorPin,
I DO believe that, unless we kick tables over and orchestrate a complete " fk u brexit and walk away from them, this could destroy politics as we know it and GB might never recover. Let THEM come to US cap in hand. |

Indeed PP even if the lost their seats they would go back to advising their mates in the banks, commerce , private cowboy firms and making more money out of the public
