Getting onto a fairly crowded tube at TCR this afternoon having been to  the British Museum a casually dressed man aged about 50 immediately stood up,tapped me on the arm and ushered me onto the now vacant seat. At the same time the youngish man on the next seat stood up and offered his sesat to my younger wife. I graciously thanked them but did think to myself 'do i really look that old'.
It has made me think that perhaps I haven't got that many years left.

Such acts of kindness do not affect your longevity only your perception of it.

Maybe you spend too much time with your younger wife and that has disturbed your perception of your own age. How much time do you spend with the older wives?

Embrace the kindness of others. It'll encourage them to do it again, for someone else. By refusing, they'll be reticent next time which is sad.

Bit like letting someone in at the junction. They'll appreciate it and do it for someone else, and so on...

Someone should start a car company called LGBTI motors, so if anyone ever says "I hate LGBTI drivers", you can get the thought police on them Laugh

I was in a shop doorway tying my shoelaces up.

As I got up, I glanced in the shop window and saw this old man looking towards me.

A fraction of a second later, I realised it was me.

case...that thought did ocurr and led me to surreptiously pat my jacket pocket.

anxious...when I was a nipper living in Manchester I remember walking to Old Trafford and Maine Road (through Moss Side) on Saturdays ,never a thought that the area would become notorious many years later. Is it still a no go area ?
