I've never liked sunroofs, they make cars too hot when it's sunny. That's why I couldn't understand why nearly all new cars now have massive panoramic sunroofs, must be like an oven in there.
Figured out the answer though - 5G from the new overhead sell towers and lamp posts. They want to fry your brains even when you're on the move.

If solar panels are all they're cracked up to be all new builds should be forced to have them installed but just like car charging points another gimmick

Will we learn when they need to scrap electric cars that it will be a massive problem recycling batteries?

Only problem is that new homes only come with one car parking space...if you are lucky.

It's the power they draw. A kettle might be 1.2kw, immersion heater 3kw, shower say 7kw (more with a fatter cable). A car charger might be 22kw or the really fast ones up to 50kw.
I seem to remember reading that if everyone starts installing them infrastructure might not take it as it just wasn't designed for it.

Imagine everyone getting home from work at 6pm and sticking the kettle on same time as a 40kw car charger!

Modern home service cables are rated at 25kw (to feed the whole house), most older ones are a third less.

It'll be smart meters for sure, then they can charge us extra for using electric during peak hours.
Although that energy drain looks a big problem if everybody starts pulling 22 watts at the same time.

''Don't cook dinner tonight darling the car's on charge, and only use the travel kettle for hot drinks.''

The future is self drive cars.  Want to go somewhere just call one up no need to own a car for most urban dwellers.
