We Knew that. A Scotsman also founded the English League. One of the stars at Queens Park was R S McColl who founded the shop brand of the same name. Bet you didn`t know that. In fact we invented and discovered every significant thing which shaped the modern world.

Says the guy typing on a computer/tablet probably manufactured mostly in the far east, designed in the US, sent over an internet designed by the US military, on a WWW devloped by an English academic, with the basic design of the computer put in place by Turing an English mathematician :) |

For your information, my computer was designed and manufactured in Scotland. I don't buy cheap foreign goods, like some. I support UK industry. Without the invention of the Telephone and tv by Scots there would be no internet. It would never have evolved. Industrial Revolution which shaped the modern world, was mostly due to the invention of the steam engine by Watt. The list is endless.

this is not new news. in the early days of football they played some games under association rules
and some under union (rugby) rules. Hilariously they played games under association rules but with a rugby union ball, sounds insane but it's true. i wish i'd seen that although rugby balls were a different shape back then. not round but not as we know them now |
