I'm off to see The Cure on Saturday and was wondering if any of you guys know of any good pubs, preferably off the beaten track a bit, where we can watch the football that won't be five deep at the bar and serving pints in plastic?

I was going to suggest Shepherd's Tavern as well, I haven't been there for quite a few years though but I did use it fairly often back in the day. If it is mobbed though when the football on as an alternative you could always pop into the Park Lane Hilton.

Was in the Grenadier a few weeks ago, just off Knightsbridge, 2 pints under £10.

Two pints of dry hopped lager in the Nags Head just down the road was £12.
