Surprised they ever invited him back after that childish tantrum he pulled with Hartley Brewer. He flounced off in a fit of pique.

The other day he was wanting Hungary kicked out of the EU because they banned a Billy Elliot musical.

Detractors should check this out :

Owen Jones speaks at Durham Miners Gala - 2015

Remember, also, his father died about 2 months ago.

I've heard more than enough from that whiny count to last three lifetimes. I won't be watching any more. Thanks but no thanks.

Is he whiney because he is gay ?

Sounds homophobic !

I have my issues with Owen but he is articulate and puts across a particular point of view very well. I only agree with him about half the time but it really is no great surprise to find that most on here agree with him none of the time and have to descend to unpleasant personal abuse in order to make that clear.
Btw I am neither gay nor young ( by any stretch of the imagination ).

Yep, liked his Chavs book but really dislike his twitter bully boy antics.

Do love how he manages to wind up so many right wingers though.

Grocer was a maggot wasn't he? Odious.

I actually bought an Owen Jones book two years ago called "The Establishment -and how they get away with it"

He made some good points but on the whole, tedious reading. Can't believe I gave him some money. Cry

He was much more interesting and smarter a few years ago when he was just a writer and agitator. Since he got close to Corbyn and is eminently a fairly powerful guy in the party he's simply become a parrot for their policies. Just another Labour hack who is capable of connecting with young voters. Very useful but at the expense of his own voice.

The night of his infamous Sky News flounce-out was the occasion of that dreadful Orlando "gay nightclub" massacre. An appalling and cowardly crime where 49 innocent people were murdered by an Islamist terrorist, an individual who had recently sworn allegiance to ISIS.

Did Jones ever join the dots and work out why this terrorist, who followed a peace-loving religion, chose that particular target?  The same religion that his Useful Idiot newspaper has of course been promoting and defending ad nauseam, before and after the massacre.

Maybe it was that belated realisation that caused the tantrum?

As soon as a muslim considers a terrorist act then he becomes a non-muslim.

The extremists are non-muslim.

It is a misnomer to call them Islamic terrorists
By:

When: 02 Jul 18 15:41
If that is the case, Mr L, why are so few muslims prepared to condemn their actions or expose the terrorists harbouring within their communities?
By:
Foinavon
When: 02 Jul 18 15:43
That's mighty convenient, where did you read that in the Koran?
By that reckoning ISIS is not Islamic since it claims many of them are acting on its behalf.
They do not consider themselves to be terrorists, they are carrying out Jihad the highest calling of a Muslim.

I would contend that for every act of islamic terrorism committed in this country plenty of people attending the terrorists' mosque were well aware of  their intent.

Regards Owen Jones, that infamous interview made for one of the most cringeworthy television appearances I have ever seen. Jones was out of order on so many levels in terms of hypocrisy, ignorance and sheer stupidity that it was tough to watch.

Sometimes the truth can be hard to take......have a lie down and a little think.

ISIS are not Islamic....they are a facist terrorist murderous gang !

The vast majority of Muslims disown them.

They are trying to indoctrinate the weak minded mentally challenged Muslims.

ISIS are not Islamic

So let me get this right. The Jihadist terror group known as ISIS (a.k.a. ISIL, a.k.a “Islamic State”), and who follow the (ahem) peace-loving religion of Islam, are “not Islamic” after all?

Has anyone told the politicians and media of the West, because this sounds like an Exclusive to end them all. Who woulda thunk it?

Would ISIS have been better off then choosing a brand name that more accurately reflected their religious and political beliefs. Maybe something like “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Islamic State” or even “Utterly Not Islamic State”?

^ Maybe they were afraid....don't you think ?

They are not sure who are the bad guys.

They would be risking their families if they stood out.

Just because they call themselves Islamic....does not mean they are true Muslims.
