Being a Churchill fan I had to get this DVD. I don't know who Oldman was up against for best actor but passable. As for the film itself I would give it 7/10.

Saw a theory that Churchill and Eisenhower let Pearl Harbour happen as an excuse to get America into the war Devil

I read something depressing about pearl harbour the other day, there sailors trapped in a sunk ship for 16 days or somehting tapping on the side and they couldn't rescue them :(

Haven't heard such a sorry tale of desperate banging since the last time I had a leg over.

I thought Oldman was mediocre as Churchill but the luvvies wanted him to get the gong. Best ever portrayal of C imo was Robert Hardy in The Wilderness Years.

The most harrowing experience of sea warfare must be the sinking of the USS Indianapolis.

Film (Nicholas Cage) was slated. I thought it was ok

Totally agree.I was obsessed by that eight part drama so much so that I used to smoke am Old Port cigar watching it on a Sunday night. I must order it to watch again. (without the cigar!)
