I’m sure we’d all agree that we need lots more prosecutions like this. Preferably with the defendants having to show their faces in court at all times, rather than inexplicably being allowed to dress in some ludicrous garments that covers the face. For all we know, it could be some bloke underneath.

Meanwhile, a pleasing outbreak of sanity. Why on earth are the courts clogged up with this derisory rubbish?

No doubt there’s still plenty of time for some Chancer Human Rights Lawyers to find a means of stalling the court’s decisions by way of some spurious appeal, and add to the burden of the taxpayer.

She said: "For the claimant, obtaining and using a passport currently involves making a false declaration as to the nature of the claimant's gender identity, which causes the claimant considerable distress.

"The lack of a non-gender specific passport option impacts on the claimant's ability to obtain and use a passport on equal terms with persons who identify, and are identified, solely in terms of male or female."

"And god did create Adam, and with his two ribs he did Eve and Shirely, a gender non specific yoghurt knitter who ran the pottery collective at the foot of the garden of Eden"

And a week later, the UK Courts revert to their normal 'beyond belief' selves.

We can surely expect more inexplicable outcomes such as this in the future, as juries increasingly begin to look like those Peace-Loving folk on trial.  And practice similar Peace-Loving Religions.

We can also expect NOT to be told about it.

give it time and you won't get a jury to convict in landan

Ah now I understand. I didn't know enough about this case to know that the outcome was inexplicable - what do you think it was that caused 2 or 3 of the "good persons and true" to have doubts?

Blackburn - I didn't and don't know.

What would help enormously though is a completely transparent and in-depth report explaining why the taxpayer has shelled out all this money on a trial with farcical outcome. As a minimum the report should detail the judge's views on prosecution/defence cases, witness evidence, and jury debate. No-one should be spared the full spotlight of scrutiny. The jury were tasked with ONE responsibility, yet seemingly failed to deliver it.

BTW, I don't expect to see such a report.

If our traditional court system isn't working maybe we should give serious consideration to implementing shariah courts ............
