When I first met my wife, she would say things like "Look at that big gas fly" when referring to a bluebottle.
As she wasn't born in the UK I assumed Gas fly was a local term. It was only much later when I realised what she was really saying.Shocked

I was friends with the Down family from Liverpool....

Neal and Ben were always fighting which was usually broken up by the more laid back brother Cam. The mother Isa was always at the bingo.

My Dad was adamant that I would be christened Aloysius but Mum wasn't having any of it Laugh Dad called me Aloysius anyway though throughout my entire life!
