Does anyone have any info on how Help for Heroes distribute their money? How many execs on £50k+ etc they have? How much they give to the sellers etc.
Remember missing a train a few years ago, so spending a lot of time in the station, and seeing a couple of burly "sellers" set up and start to basically intimidate passengers to buy their bracelets. They must have made a small fortune in the 40 minutes or so I was there. Always left a bad taste, and it's never been a charity at the top of my needy list before then to be honest but wondering how well behaved they are compared to some horror stories elsewhere. |

At 30 September 2017, Help for Heroes fundraising ratio is 30.3%– this means that it costs 30.3p to generate £1 of income for the Charity.

Absolutely happened aka
Runcorn station, prob spring 2015. Two huge units essentially blocking the passage to the platform. Deliberately causing a bottleneck to make people "settle" and move on. Could have been genuine, could have been blaggers. No one was going to ask. Had genuine looking paraphernalia though. |

I have people harassing on every high street to donate money, when i ask them are they doing it for free they move away.

Case - it's why I'm asking. I've long since given up on mainstrwam charities and prefer to support local, smaller efforts. Got involved in a couple from where I grew up. Have much less spare time now but makes me really happy to actually make a visible difference to an area that's struggling. Never going to get that with a big org with a ceo earning six figures
Just wondering if HfH is different or not to Oxfam etc. Particularly due to personal experience. |

Aye sure PP, it's already filed correctly.

Have to say the hth worded that it cost 30p to generate £1 of income did not tell us what percentage went to the target. I wish i knew.
95% of charities are frauds. |

Bless, in aka's world there are no blaggers or dodgy charity collectors.
It's all just unicorns, sunlit uplands and people who look and sound like him. And if theyre British then they're automatically honest and lovely. |
