David Keenan over from Ireland to play tonight.

Well worth a look for any acoustic guitar fans in the area.

Roger : are you a fan of THE MINUTES (of Dublin) ?

I believe they have a 3rd album coming out, maybe even available on Spotify, a facility I never use.

Never seen them live.
Probably a bit too heavy for me.
Do you like them?

Very much so.  I thought their first and second albums were well worth a listen.

Interesting voice your man.
I wouldn't be mad about his looks lol.
Reminds me of The Von Bondies.

Their visual presentation indeed lacks a little something shall we say, and I'm not a fan of their artwork either. Would normally put me off.

They've got something musically that made me sit up and take notice.

Yep. Don't know if I could look at your man for over an hour.
I like my lead singers to look good as you know lol.
I like his voice though. :)

I liked the way they stood out from the umpteen identikit 'indie' bands, even though that heavy rocky 'bluesy' sound isn't one I normally migrate to.

I'm sort of amazed they haven't cleaned up on the 'festivals' scene.

This was one of the first singles that caught my attention, but there's at least half a dozen of their songs I could nominate.

'Black Keys'.
