The young East European woman in the fish and chip shop. In the unlikely event she did invite me back to her place we could spend five minutes discussing the relative merits of Peters vs Pukka steak and kidney pies but then what? It's not even as if she's the one who does the cooking: that's the swarthy middle-aged geezer down the other end.

You know, I've never had a battered sausage. Maybe I should try one but the fear is that I'll love it and have wasted my entire life not eating battered sausages. Same with chip butties and deep fried Mars Bars.
