But if you want to engage - they actually have a department and a COMMANDER in charge of it.
They have already freely stated that there are certain crimes which are never investigated and the ones that qualify are then screened to the cases which are considered to have a high success rate. As population increases and Police numbers decrease that figure can only rise. Get used to it.
The police force has turned into another career vehicle like the NHS.
People getting promoted for passing exams and doing little else.
So in the end the only thing that matters is ensuring an early retirement on a big pension.
And don't tell me they've stopped all that because they haven't.

They don't even go to burglaries where I live. People have had to put cameras up and post the footage on Facebook to see if anyone knows the offender, so they can "sort it themselves", the police do not care because they are no longer the protection of the public, they are state owned troopers, meaning they protect the corporations and the elites.
What I will say, is anyone posting up their footage on facebook, if you do happen to find out who it is DO NOT give the information to the police, sort the problem out yourselves, why give the police "officer" a free notch on his belt?, if they aren't going to protect you why should we give them a freebie?

Those Police Community Support Officers make me laugh.
They might as well stick a cardboard cut out of a proper police officer on every street corner for all the use they are.
Every time I see any, they're usually surrounded by a bunch of kids taking the pee out of them.

My local police station (in a town of approx. 33,000 people) has a sign (A4 paper) in the window saying they are now permanently closed but if you really need to go to a police station then there is one at a nearby (6 miles) bigger town. That one is only open from 9am to 5pm, though.
