My diesel failed on emissions a month ago. Easy job to clean it up by a garage. I'm trying some of that diesel with additives to see it it makes a difference next time.

wish they'd phase diesel out - horrible substance ... it just hangs in the air - it's all you can smell on main roads and causes real breathing difficulties in children (and adults) .

Just got rid of my Diesel car, had anew DPF ( Diesel Particulate Filter ) fitted 3 years ago at a cost of £1300. The DPF light was flashing again, I scrapped it, not worth having it replaced. Great car other than that Mazda 6, 2006 plate never had any problems in 7 years only general wear and tear brakes, tyres. Got a Mazda 3. Petrol. Im my eyes you can't beat a Mazda for reliability.

blimey at £1300 a pop when you can get upto £5000 scrap for the cars plenty are going to get binned.
