Daily Mail :

Meghan Markle's father will NOT attend the Royal Wedding after 'suffering heart attack' and says he doesn't want to embarrass his daughter after admitting he WAS paid for staged pap pics - as he surfaces at McDonald's and KFC

Thomas Markle said that he is no longer attending his daughter's wedding this weekend after suffering a heart attack six days ago

He also said that he did not want to run the risk of embarrassing his daughter or the royal family after Mail on Sunday revealed he had staged paparazzi photos

Thomas, 73, admitted to being paid by a photo agency for the pictures but said it was not his 'main motivation', according to TMZ

He said he was hoping to recast his image in the wake of previous unflattering pictures

DailyMail.com can report that Thomas did not seek medical attention on the day of the 'heart attack,' instead spending all day inside his clifftop home in Rosarito

Two days after his heart attack, Thomas purchased two Happy Meals and a frosted beverage from McDonald's and then went to KFC

Palace insiders tell DailyMail.com the royal family was blindsided by the news and had not been informed of Thomas' change of heart prior to his interview
In a statement they said it was 'a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding'

If she cares about it that much she will already have had her father do it last time she was married.

Fewer than 1 in 3 second marriages dont end in divorce, this is doooomed.

But I dont think too many care, Harry is the spare to the spare to the spare to the spare to the heir.

Friend of a friend is a hairdresser in Windsor.  Apparently the salon is fully booked on Friday & Saturday morning with people getting done up for the day.  Not people who are going along as invitees, but just members of the public who are going to presumably just stand on the side of the road gawking for a glimpse.

Just how fckn sad & pathetic are some people?  What utterly empty lives they must have to p!ss their pants over something as inconsequential as the FIFTH in line to the monarchy getting married to an actress.  Needless to say, I couldn't give a sh*t.

Apparently Meghans Dad is saying he does want to go now.

You couldn't make this up Laugh

The doctors have to clear him to fly tho' first.

This is all according to the Daily Fail.

^ Yep, Meghan's father has changed his mind and now says he does want to attend the wedding, according to the Mail online. What a fiasco !

If he has just had a heart attack (according to the papers) is he safe to fly ?  Probably tomorrow his doctor will say it's not safe for him to go on a plane....... tune in again on Saturday to see how this ends........ Seriously, I do feel sorry for Meghan.

I wouldn't want to be her father. No way would you get me walking up THAT aisle.
Lack of testicular fortitude perhaps, and I wouldn't blame him.

Couldn't care less about it, its a man and woman getting married, I walk past my local church daily and see them coming out after tying the knot, it happens everyday so why should we care about this one?

North Korea are back to being rogue again (calling off SK meetings and threatening to call the US one off), Iran and Israel are at each others throats, Israel is murdering innocent civilians etc etc, yet we're supposed to care about a none event.

"...this whole shenanigans with Megans father makes it fun"

IF he is having any heart surgery today, even a small procedure, he won't be there on Saturday, so Harry will marry Meghan without ever meeting her father. If this was a soap opera it would be mildly entertaining, but it's real life. I just can't keep up, and bored with it now anyway ! Sure there will be another twist to this story before Saturday !

This match up should not of been aloud to happen for many reasons. I am astonished that the Royal Firm didn't step in to prevent it. They are going to be very sorry!

Slicer, not withstanding your typos, I have been saying this for months!

Is there a market for him to "go/not go"?

I'm firmly on not go, as his change of mind was to save face (imo) and the alleged doctor's forthcoming advice, will be a resounding "not go"!
