A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We've received no complaints about signage outside J W Ash and Son butchers in Leek.

"However, the local chief inspector did advise the owner to give careful consideration to what was written on the boards in case anyone took offence. No other action has been taken."

The biggest crime these days is causing offence.  Worse than rape or murder.

As for "Have your rump tenderised before you leave", rump is a type of steak and that type of meat is best tenderised to make it more palatable.  Innuendos are in the mind of the listener.  Music Hall stars used them back in the day when you really couldn't swear or be smutty.  A famous one goes:

I was walking along a narrow path up in the mountains when a beautiful woman came walking towards me.  I didn't know whether I should toss myself off or block her passage.

Police have to keep the "solved crime" figures high it seems.

Shouldn't someone in higher authority consider the position of the local chief inspector if he/she can find time to pursue this nonsense?

Agree, no police available for real crimes but plenty for this nonsense.

LOL what are we coming to. I just cracked Phil Lynott's
"any of you girls out there got an Irish in you? Any of you want some?"
joke on another thread.
Would the PC Gestapo be giving him a chat and his live albums removed from the shelves now?

Meanwhile pretty much every rap video is p0rn mixed with boasting about violence!

I would tell the joke about the guy who came across a Genie when polishing an old urn he found and was granted 3 wishes, but I would probably get banned Sad
