CEO says no one will be out of pocket as a result.

Does he have any idea what he is letting himself into with consequential loss claims?

Can happen to any bank aswell

My advice only keep in the bank enough to cover direct debit bills, things like internet payments. I only ever keep 30 quid in it for the internet and thats it. Keeping 1000s in the bank (just one bank account esp) is brainless.

In a safe

Best to have 2 or 3 places for money though, put money in different places. I wouldnt risk leaving it in a bank in this day and age.

TSB is calling in outside help to help fix the banking system breakdown that has caused chaos for customers.
Its chief executive, Paul Pester, told the BBC's Today programme he would now take direct control of the issue, and had drafted in experts from IBM, who would report "directly" to him.
