happiness comes from inside you,and different things make us happy,but i find if i am a little down i can make myself happy by backing a few winners.
another thing that makes me happy is listening to happy songs.
some people are happy if they go for a walk.
can we have some posts on things that make you happy,and then we will all have the feel good factor,and try and keep the idea's clean.
amazingly some people get happy if they eat.

Lots of things make me happy. I wouldn't know where to start right now because it's past my bedtime and I'm tired.
My lovely bed makes me happy with it's lovely white bed linen. There's a start Good thread, Brassneck. I will catch up with it tomorrow. |

The smell of a freshly cut lawn on a spring day. The zest of a lemon. Leaves swirling in the wind. The unmistakable sound of a songbird and fat pigeons making impossible landings with absolute grace.
The sound of a cascading waterfall, or the sight of a fox silhouetted against the night time sky. There's many for me. |

now we are moving ,this could be a good thread,and if anyone is feeling down,they could get up in the morning and look out at the sun shining brightly in the blue sky,and listen to the birds singing,tell the wife how lucky you are to have married her(then she will be happy) and smile and feel good about having a job,and summer holidays are just around the corner,the world cup is starting soon,and the week end will be here shortly.

Not having an enormous lard arse sat either side of me on a plane or at the cinema or within breathing distance at a restaurant makes me ecstatically, joyously happy.

My happy pills make me happy....
I like to feel good by doing a kindness to someone... Bought some shoes from "Jenny Wren" on line, and the soles were dropping very thin bits every where I walked, and made a mess on my oak floor, so I was constantly cleaning it. I told the supplier and, without any negotiating, she sent back the full cost. That made me feel bad, as I still had the goods, so I asked her to send me an invoice to Pay-Pal, for half the amount. That made me feel good again.... Simple things like receiving a warm smile, from such as a girl on the check out, makes me happy. Cleaning my cars makes me happy.... Getting big hugs from my grand kids, when they arrive, makes me really happy.... Caring for my garden makes me happy.... Not being sad makes me deliriously happy.... |

Standing on any racecourse with the sun shining, and the horses walking round the paddock coats gleaming, and then watching the one I backed hose up , sitting with the Family having Dinner and listening to my Children having a friendly pop at one another over something trivial. Playing football with the Grand kids and making some, well to me anyway,super saves makes me happy.

I always become happy when my health improves
So get some sort of health problem, and then have an improvement  Sitting outside in my garden when it's sunny and the temperature is juuust right also makes me Too cold today though Jogging, especially when it's sunny, always lifts my mood  And today I'm happy because I've bought a new bike  We'll see how long that feeling lasts |

this is a great thread,if you feel down you can come back and visit this thread and the happiness comes flooding back,everyone is giving terrific idea,s to make me feel happy life is really great,and the sun is shining in my heart.

Like others have already mentioned, put me on a racetrack an hour before the first race so I can soak in the atmosphere whilst having a pint and going through the card with friends and family and I'm a very happy bunny. Be it a wet and windy Monday afternoon at Plumpton or a day at Glorious Goodwood, it matters not to me which. Of all the sports I've followed throughout my life, rugby, greyhound racing, golf, NFL, football, cricket etc the one consistent in all of those has been how much I still absolutely love a day at the races and that will never change.

Even though it's a miserable rainy day, just seeing the beautifully formed multi-coloured blooms of tulips massed in my flower border lifted my spirits. The small effort of planting the bulbs in the autumn is well rewarded.

I have a blackbird nest in my hedge and watching the male and female jumping in and out around their feeding has cheered me up,I mighn't be so happy when the chicks are born will have to be on cat watch but fine now.

They jump up and down on the hedge, to see where the birds fly out, and then will eat either the eggs or chicks! I hate them with a vengeance, and not afraid to say that I have taken out more than a few! |
