I totally agree with that.

My view fwiw,
is that Venger's brief has for so long now, given that they can't compete with the big boys in the transfer market, has been to qualify for europe and basically just turn a profit. Just a decent profitable business that's all and to be fair, he hasn't done too badly on that a/c.

the owners have been happy with Wenger as long as Arsenal were making money for them. out of the Champions League now for looking like 2 seasons they probably think it's time to try someone else. but with a new manager comes pressure for new expensive signings which they're not going to want to do but will probably have to.
