Tonight's panel :-
Liz Truss from the Tories. Another bland politician from the Blairite/Cameroon mould. I think she was even a Lib Dem at one time. Lady Nugee - sorry, I apparently can not use her married name, as that is sexist according to that wally of a speaker we have - John Bercow. Emily Thornberry. She of the infamous "white van and St. George's flag" picture tweet from Rochester. Labour's shadow foreign secretary - oh dear God! She's pretty bad. Mind you - she has Boris to shadow - so that's not saying much. To think that the Labour Party had Denis Healey as their shadow foreign secretary at one time - and now they have Thornberry! That's how far down the scale we have fallen. Vince Cable - Lib Dem leader and "economic guru"(allegedly). Neserine Malik - Guardian columnist. I have never heard of her. Think it's her first time on QT. Iain Dale - LBC presenter, owner of Biteback Publishing(which publishes political books), former Tory blogger, former Tory candidate as well and West Ham fan. He's very pro-Brexit. It's the first time that he's been on QT, but he has been on its radio counterpart "Any Questions". I think Dale is the only Brexit guy on the panel. Good to see the BBC keeping up its good work there. I long for the day when I turn on to BBC news and see the following : "Brexit causes cancer.". Expect questions on the B word - Brexit. I suspect we will get one on the House of Lords defeat on staying in the customs union. No doubt that Thornberry and Cable will be delighted with that, and pipe up that we have to have one or the UK might get the plague or something. We will also likely to get one on the new political movement featuring Captain Picard - the "People's Vote" or whatever it's called. No doubt Vince will love that, and say that another referendum and staying inside the EU is needed, and we know now that we were : "lied to, NHS bus, racist, older voters, denying the young, not being able to watch subtitled crime dramas on BBC4 at the weekend, etc.". I expect Dale might counterattack that with : "luuvies' party". We'll also get a question Syria and Corbyn's "war powers act". Expect Thornberry to go into overdrive. I also expect a question on Labour's anti-semiticism as well. Don't forget that Brillo Pad and Choo Choo Faux Spanish Man are on afterwards. "Evening all." |

What is the thinking behind wheeling out Emily Thornberry as a public representative of the Labour Party? She's not credible.

I just couldn't bring myself to watch it. Sick of the show.
Was it the usual where the gobby bovine talks over everyone else in a patronising manner and Dimbleby lets her? |

Don't come on JC telling porkies how could you possibly know that without watching the programme ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

By:
I've seen her on it a number of times before, and Dimblelby letting gobby left wing women talk over other people is a regular feature
The show is the same crap every week anyway, very predictable, I'm sick of politics these days, just makes me angry. I think I caught the last 1/2 of this week as it's still decent.. |

By:
would one need to watch to know the outcome?
for instance - the usual 3 - 2 bias against brexit (or worse) just asking |
