Totally and utterly ****.

I dont give a fk of you do gooders saying it isnt because it is.

1) AA v 88 all in pre flop = the 88 gets a gutshot on straight and makes it. 888 poker tourney.

2) 88 v 22 all in pre flop = the 22 makes a set on river. 888 poker tourney.

3) MY AK v QQ & 1010 all in pre flop = K on flop all is good, by turn I even make a flush draw, 10 river. 888 poker tourney.

My alias on pokerstars is Yttus and Aces_Sutty on 888 poker if you wanna check stats on sharkscope.

Ive been playing circa 10 years and played one tourney in a casino but its far too slow in them and cost  lot more money.

My best result was a $82 tourney where I won circa $1500 on pokerstars.

Ive not played thousands and thousands of games partly because I get so tilted when I lose like the above hands.

Im not the greatest player granted but the people I lose to (mainly from eastern europe) are a total joke and thus makes me more frustrated.

The **** at the start should read r1gg3d. For some reason they block the word probably because they know it is.

Ive played about four tourneys tonight and the hands above are how Ive lost.

Whether I lose $100 or $1 its irrelevant, ITS THE WAY YOU LOSE that really bugs me.

AA..

The 3rd hand is not a "bad beat" , you were all in pre flop. Hardly a massive favourite. Great if you treble up but there was a good chance you would lose.

The 2nd hand may/may not be poor play (not enough info). 88 is hardly a monster.

No I wasnt a massive fav on AK preflop but when the K hits on the flop and a heart comes on the turn, I have Ace of hearts too, the 1010 was a one outer on river.

88 against 22 pre flop so Im about 80% favourite to win no?

Pre flop you made the bet with AK.

Unless you knew a King was about to arrive on the flop then the odds should be calculated at that point.
It does not matter which order the next 5 cards arrive as you can't do anything about it (you are already all-in)

I.e. If the 10 arrived on the flop & the k on the river it is the same result.

88 is hardly a monster- you may gave been playing correctly to go all-in (need more info). You didn't know te had 22 when you made your decision.

I stopped playing online poker years ago.
Used to win some/lose some.
In the end I was down by about 10% (the cost of the rake).
If everyone broke about even - then they will all play for longer and the poker sites will make their 10% rake for longer.

I played in a huge tourney once, $10 I think, over a thousand runners. In the 1st 7 or 8 hands, there was AA in the hole somewhere on the table... This encourages all-ins reduces numbers quickly and gets people who are knocked out early playing elsewhere on the site, as they were sitting down for a game of poker.

Add to this the collusion which takes place, add to that the issues with dodgy poker sites, add to that the possibility of hackers.... add to that anything I've forgotten or don't know about.

Best left alone imo.
You won't miss it.

Playing live my ITM is 38% and my ROI is 52%... can't get anywhere near that online.

I am, however, over £10k up online but the bulk of that was made between 2003 and 2010... not exactly a fortune over that period. I took a break after my company changed their client and it just stopped with non-stop bad beats so I quit in 2012 vowing never to return.

Last year I did return and guess what? Yep, I couldn't stop winning for around 3-4 weeks. Coincidence?

After that the fund was gradually going down and down and down. Non-stop beats, one after the other, stupid calls hitting and the worst of them all was big stacks always hitting as the money approached.

Early this year I quit again after drawing out what little I had left; I doubt I'll play online again. I won, they lost.. my gain.

That's something I forgot, Aspro.
Winning for the initial week or so, then not winning.
That happened on every site I played on. Same went for Backgammon.

Who the hell plays 88 only go in with the heavy artillery of Jack's and above and you'll win 90% of the time, lol

mega, that is dependant on the situation. In a tourney and I'm gagging for chips then I am most definitely going to push with 88 as it could be the last half-chance I'm going to get.

Hands 1 and 2 you're opponents are somewhere between 4/1 and 5/1 to beat you.
Hand 3 you're about 7/4 v QQ the fav at 11/10 with TT 4/1ish.
You're obviously a massive fav when the K flops but the cash was all in by then.
Overall, and you know this, if you continually get the chips in when ahead you'll have a positive roi.

Position, chip stacks, where we're at (ie bubble etc) and players strengths (where known obviously) all come into play.
