Like our man kenny, I do go into a Spoons every now and then. The White Horse in Beckenham High Street is an OK place to have a beer and it's next to a PP so handy to watch the races and loads of places to get something to eat nearby if you don't want their fayre. I don't eat their food personally but I'm sure it's probably alright but you get what you pay for as regards to pub grub in my book.

Everyone else should do the same.

Much bad PUBlicity (see what I did there?) is made up for many, many businesses, by people trying to get free food, drink, holidays, etc etc
Social media is used as a sort of blackmail.

There's nothing good about facebook, twitter or anything else which gives the undeserving a voice.

Sunday brunch and a pint of Shipyard pale ale for about 6 quid, very nice fish chips and peas and a pint of Shipyard on a Friday for 6 1/2 quid. We've never had it so good slippy.

They deleted their entire database too. i wonder if perhaps they had allowed it to be used by a certain campaign their CEO
was rather close to?

I'm not on Facebook or Twitter but I have to say that Twitter has been very useful the lsst couple of days for finding out about the wellbeing of some of the Grand National runners after the race. That's how I came across Alice and her missing dogs.

Twitter is alright...especially for local events news...stuck in traffic jam? Something kicking off? Just type it in + your city and you'll find comments about it. For example I was having electricity cuts one night ..typed it into twitter and other people in my area were experiencing the same.

Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat are terrible though. Especially the latter. Stupid women posting pictures of themselves with puppy dog ears and eyes etc. Facebook is a vanity project "my life is better than yours".

People with facebook treat you as an outcast if you don't have it....mugs.

Not exactly. Although I suppose you could broadly define it as such.

It was a forum which was altered in 2010 by BF to resemble social media.
Originally it was a sort of noticeboard, which admittedly became popular and became a sort of community.

But it doesn't exist as an advertising platform and is more of a member's club.
It's not quite in the same mould as Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, all of which have no other purpose.

1000's of sites have a forum.
