Liz has done her bit and i'm proud of the old mare. We should let her go down the bingo or the Friday Club Fish & Chips lunch in the Community Centre. But should we give Charlie a swerve and jump straight to Wills?

An interesting debate to be had on this subject.
My preference is for the Queen to be succeeded by another Oliver Cromwell for say 10 years upon which time William will be ready to be crowned king. A great advantage of the military taking over will be that the gloves will be well and truly off and the army can crack down on all crime and eliminate the lowlife and vermin of this country without worrying about human rights and the like.

Martial law. That always works well.

Ironic that so many monarchists want to skip a generation. Surely the whole point of a monarchy is to take whoever is next in line. If you want to pick and choose, why not go the whole hog and elect a president?

plenty of uk monarchs have been eased out, or by passed

why should charles miss out after such a wait, then again why should he take over

who decides?

its not like it was for edward 8

I can't bear to hear his idiotic voice for ten seconds so I will be hoping he doesn't stay too long.

There must be a fair chance Charles will die before the Queen, though most of his recent male ancestors used to smoke like chimneys so might not be an accurate guide.

Add Boris to the list, Donny, he would be a natural and more entertaining than Chas.

There is no way anyone will jump in front of Chas. It's unthinkable, although he is a bit long in the tooth and his Mrs. is looking more like Hyacinth Bouquet every day. My money's on Wills to serve it up nice and cold for Charlie.

it would be best if Queen Elizabeth was the last monarch, pointless now
when you look at the state of the country

It is not a problem with the monarchy, the problem is the people

The Queen lives on the margins of society,we don't need to see her. the thought that she is in her palace is a lovely thought
hopefully she is immortal
