just had that mp for all things military on tv again johnny mercer saying we elect the prime minister to make these decisions, someone needs to point out to him we,ve had years recently brown, may of unelected pm,s,does he think they should be allowed to make these decisions
Report 1st time poster April 16, 2018 12:33 PM BST
if may had resigned been sacked,we could have had a coronation prime minister .leading a government without a majority ,propped up by an irish party, does little johnny think that pm should have the power alone to send us to military action
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 12:34 PM BST
trump told them 6 days before the missiles were launched

no doubt putin messaged him to say weapons had been moved before trumpy pressed the button
Report saddo April 16, 2018 12:37 PM BST
Not very realistic to expect a referendum on these types of decisions if the incumbent PM was not chosen at a general election. Though she actually was last year, if only just.
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 12:49 PM BST
winston churchill wasnt elected by people to be war time prime minister

the people elect mps, party leaders are chosen by party by method determined by party

may forgets at times she is prime minister and not president
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 12:52 PM BST
she consulted her cabinet, which surely, by convenrion, is enough to launch
a limited missile strike

with or without a majority

not sure if she was right or wrong to launch missiles, but i dont she over reached her authourity in this case

So they have destroyed said "Chemical Weapons Factory, but wouldn't that then ignited the Chemicals and every poor mudda from miles around been gassed to hell and back.? But of course if there were no Chemicals cough ! cough!
Report 1st time poster April 16, 2018 1:10 PM BST
your all concentrated on one particular PM and one case, will the same people be happy and so understanding if corbyn is leader and needs to consider attacking Russia, israel, palestine etc, etc, I asusme they wouldn't be quite so understanding in leaving it in the hands of corbyn,or maybe boris
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 1:59 PM BST
terry the weapons were removed during the 6 days after trumpy warned them....

corbyn would need to consult his cabinet, at least. i suspect he would consult parliament, if it still
existed in case of nuclear strike...i dont think corbyn would launch a strike except in extreme case
but who knows

I think it was all about sending a message to Putin rather anything to do with Syrian civilians.
Report dave1357 April 16, 2018 2:42 PM BST
Terry can't seriously be this thick surely?  He must be trolling.  It isn't possible for an sane adult to be so poor at reasoning.

hes here hes there hes f ucking whereLaugh
Report dave1357 April 16, 2018 3:44 PM BST
Terry if someone as stupid as you "expects chemical weapons to be ignited", don't you think that someone intelligent (in the relevant governments) would consider whether that is likely and the implications of it?
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 3:50 PM BST
come on dave

its far fetched to think trumpy, may, and macca think ahead
Report detraveller April 16, 2018 5:13 PM BST
Its been a few days now and nothing about the spy poisoning case. Now everyone's busy with the airstrikes. What's the next move to distract the public? I'd say announce some cuts to ensure spending for a few more Syrian refugees. She desperately needs something like that to better her position...
Report SontaranStratagem April 16, 2018 6:03 PM BST
Distraction after distraction. the big one being she has no majority and there for cant govern, but we'll be talk about something else.
Report SontaranStratagem April 16, 2018 6:05 PM BST
back in the 70s we had something similar to what May has, and we ended up having to call another election, but nowadays we just green light some bombing and all is forgotten. they can afford to spend millions on one bombing raid, but can't feed the homeless. its disgusting but never mind.
Report GAZO April 16, 2018 6:48 PM BST
we are lucky May had got rid of those two muppets who were effectly running the country and not the cabinet and it was okay to bomb the chemical sites as it was raining
Report donny osmond April 16, 2018 6:56 PM BST
which tory will be the new enoch powell and advise folk to vote labour
Report ufcdan April 16, 2018 8:21 PM BST
Have to agree with the general consensus, Putin has the morale high ground over May ! After all he was legitimately elected Crazy
