if may had resigned been sacked,we could have had a coronation prime minister .leading a government without a majority ,propped up by an irish party, does little johnny think that pm should have the power alone to send us to military action

Not very realistic to expect a referendum on these types of decisions if the incumbent PM was not chosen at a general election. Though she actually was last year, if only just.

winston churchill wasnt elected by people to be war time prime minister
the people elect mps, party leaders are chosen by party by method determined by party

she consulted her cabinet, which surely, by convenrion, is enough to launch a limited missile strike
with or without a majority
not sure if she was right or wrong to launch missiles, but i dont she over reached her authourity in this case

terry the weapons were removed during the 6 days after trumpy warned them....
corbyn would need to consult his cabinet, at least. i suspect he would consult parliament, if it still existed in case of nuclear strike...i dont think corbyn would launch a strike except in extreme case but who knows

Terry if someone as stupid as you "expects chemical weapons to be ignited", don't you think that someone intelligent (in the relevant governments) would consider whether that is likely and the implications of it?

Its been a few days now and nothing about the spy poisoning case. Now everyone's busy with the airstrikes. What's the next move to distract the public? I'd say announce some cuts to ensure spending for a few more Syrian refugees. She desperately needs something like that to better her position...

back in the 70s we had something similar to what May has, and we ended up having to call another election, but nowadays we just green light some bombing and all is forgotten. they can afford to spend millions on one bombing raid, but can't feed the homeless. its disgusting but never mind.
