'Lozocking or to lozock = To laze around'

Is it really such an obscure word?

Anyone else used word/s and been confronted with blank looks?

I did hear my boss use the phrase "lozz around" whilst on the phone

which is a shortened version of the word.

By the way I am from Stockport.

The trick is to learn some alternative, and obscure words, and chuck them into your conversation.

It's very satisfying, seeing people not having a clue what you are on about, but too embarrassed to ask!

Even more satisfying, when you are talking to some jumped up poncey tw@t, and seeing hhis reaction when you say something like
"It's all dependant on the fenestration"!

would you have to be a window cleaner to get it into the chat?
Report Lady Faye Verrit April 15, 2018 1:19 PM BST
I'm prepared to wager that few window cleaners would have a clue!

Another architectural one is "Pilasters"....

A man and wife client of mine just couldn't get it right! They didn't even agree with each other!

He kept saying "pilastairs" and her "palisters".

No amount of my enforcing of the correct term, would shift them from their naievety.

You had to be there!
