I was never worried about getting old, now i cant wait to retire now (7 years till im 40years pensions paid in) and then i hope i can move abroad to a nice place.

I cant see any positives about the way the world is heading now.

Very, i have spoken to a few others, they feel the same.

Maybe that is a part of getting old and being detached from the next generation.

Thou im not sure, the one thing i know is that the latest generation dont seem to have the time to attend family functions unless via twitter.

It is all going downhill very fast.

I am not sure dan, somewhere safe and nice. The Czech republic or Slovakia perhaps I know some people who live there
I don't care about warm climate or that sort of thing

My brother has offered me his apartment in Cyprus for £200 per month; I must admit, it is a temptation at that cost

I know a couple of fellas who live out there. Weather's nice and the beers cheap

The only thing is that for two weeks of the year he wants it but not a problem, would just come back here for the duration

Only drawback. My mate says it's cold in the winter as many places don't have central heating

I've been out there in February and it wasn't warm but their winters are more like our winter turning to spring, like now, for example.

I have a lot of family in Canada including two uncles who work for NASA and live there. It used to be the #1 place to live in the world but I think that's Japan now if memory serves.

A big problem with Canada though is that their PC brigade has done more damage than ours!

I was looking at transferring within my company to an isle near scotland for my last 7 years, was all for Skye as the climate is supposedly fine but the latest news has scuppered that.

IS I have looked at Devon and Cornwall and as of today it is my favoured destination. I've given myself three years to fully consider my options but if I was forced to make a decision now then that's where I'd probably head for. Not sure I want to live abroad but one never knows.

How long will devon and cornwall hold out though??

Plymouth must be a target for them eventually- lots of coastline - harbour etc as well - useful for arrivals
