Been to Longleat a couple of times. Don't eat in the Sports Bar as it's utterly sh1te. Probably the best restaurant is Hucks which does American-type stuff but book make sure to reserve a table otherwise you won't get in. Take your own wine as they don't sell anything decent at their store. Best place to stay imo is withing walking distance of the main strip. Hire bikes or take your own if that's an option.

Sad, but I've been to every one except Longleat and stayed at three of the other four.  I'd make sure you pre book some activities beforehand as some will be sold out in advance.  I don't particularly like Hucks personally, of them all think it's my least favourite, so I'd check the menus online.  Centre Parcs used to sponsor England Badminton, so they used to host the National Schools Championships in the Nottingham CP.  He/his school finished runner up, so I took him to Hucks to celebrate before we took the long journey home.  I had the swordfish and it was terrible, so bad that I got it knocked off the bill.  Probably best to book restaurants in advance too.  Take basic groceries with you if it's no hassle.  The activities are pricey like, except the swimming complex which is free.

My b!tch gets posted out to do reports on them .....

Firstly, get there early - Leave the motor in the car park as you can't move it through until 3pm and **** off to the pool complex as 'change over day' is the quietest day there (until 3-4pm)

If you don't have or don't hire bikes you'll ruin the whole experience as the gaff is huge and the Land Train that runs throughout the estate is a farce. (busy & slow)

Without doubt the best restaurant there is the Indian. However, expect to pay near London prices.

The only activity i'd recommend would be the Aerial Adventure (the high ropes course) ... better than any Go-Ape track - however it's all subjective.

You'll have a good time but ultimately you'll feel as though you've been financially raped after as most activities involve an extra charge.

Also, as said, book up Restaurants/Activities early and expect some severe bruising from manic mayhem that is the rapids in the pool complex.

Out of three i've been to i'd give a 5 for Elveden, 7 for Woburn and 8 for Longleat. A map is essential also.

Don’t worry about packing your hoover, they have Henry, the king of hoovers, in every chalet.
Unless you’re camping, of course.

I think this needs clarification. Henry Hoover is merely the Prince Regent whereas the true king is Henry Cordless.
