UK to strike Syria in hours??

Would be strange as the International Chemical Weapons Investigators announced earlier they would be visiting Syria.

It was from the express though, but a few big channels on youtube are convinced we're about to strike.

Are they not involved already indirectly?

Need to hope the speculation is wrong.

".......The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has accepted a Russian invitation to visit the Syrian town of Douma, where an alleged chemical attack took place at the weekend and is expected to do so within a few days.

The OPCW is the same organisation that visited the UK last month to take samples of the toxin used in Salisbury and is expected to report imminently on its findings.

The UK and France have agreed to 'respond' with the US to the Douma incident 'to uphold the global ban on the use of chemical weapons', but have not made clear what such a 'response' might entail.

It must not entail military action until at least the OPCW has reported on the results of its visit - and should not even then. But few expect the US to observe such niceties when President Trump is eager for distractions from the investigation into his and his team's alleged collaboration with the Russians......."

What will the allies do if they are found to have staged the attack? Will they act first to prevent the assessment?

Let's face it we've proved nothing on the Skripal case yet in our OWN country

The inspectors were due Saturday and are there in Damascus seems quite blatant to me

Sickening scenario without allowing the enquiry

It is my belief that there is no God so he won't be helping and as for the Russians if they where going to do anything, they would of. I think their bluff has been called ! That's not to say there won't be repercussions but if there is I think it will be cyber attacks on us. Oh well I guess it will all become apparent

The Russians would be fools to stage a direct military attack on the Americans and Pootin may be many things but he's no fool.
I think the West's best strategy would be to increase the financial cost of the war to the Russians. With an economy the size of Italy, it must be creaking already and the only money spinner they have is sales of energy.
The cost of the Afghanistan war is what brought the old Soviet Union to its knees and this Middle-Eastern war could be Russia's undoing too.

Has the Conventional Bombing Re started yet ?
