Is Boris guilty of a Hate Crime?

It's ok.  Putin is white.  Therefore it can't be a hate crime.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index

He,s right Russia along with Germany started WW2

Injera you may as well say do you not know the sacrifices that Germany and the German people made

There,s no point England boycotting the tournament alone, although they should
They will get no support from muzzi or macroni

They shouldn't boycott the tournament.  Football should be about the people.  We all know the Russia government is corrupt.  A throwback to the birth of communism and left wing ideology.  Wouldn't surprise me if English fans were more at risk in South Africa and Brazil.

Boris is a feckin disgrace & should be sacked with immediate effect.  Will he be?  Nae chance

The tournament in Russia should be cancelled and held in England, without Putin

Don't invite the little rodent

England haven't turned up to the last 6 world cups. I doubt they'll turn up to this one.

neither have Russia

Will they produce a Bobby Moore?
no, only England could produce a Bobby Moore, nowhere else

Boris = Idiot,erm that's it.

Boris is a disgrace....given 26 million Russians died fighting Hitler, you can just imagine what the Russian people think of us Brits. Boris is a scandal beyond description. He is vile, over privileged fool....vile, pompous idiot. A vile cretin who is not fit for public office.

Ah but they were fighting for the murderer Stalin, and indeed Stalin killed tens of millions.
Well the Russian generals also killed thousands of their own people
And of course it was Stalin and Hitler who started the war, indeed Russia took a larger part of Poland than Germany did
So put that into the equation

I thought the responsibility of high office would put an end to the comedy from Boris.

If this is anything to go by he doesn't take any position seriously.

He,s not the worst

Of course we don't need to look to carefully at the contribution Russia made in WW2 Russia sat back like a big fat toad for a large part of the war while it was helped to survive by the western allies, it didn't have to fight in Europe, or in the pacific or in Africa or in the far and middle east or in the skies or at sea over4 all these areas , it had only to worry about itself
And then emerge once the war was all but won

Why he was ever given the F.O. I'll never know. The most diplomatic position to hold and May gives it   Boris.

He even said he worries about the England fans' safety. Then how is comparing Putin to Hitler going to help???

Boris is pretty useless and a bit of a clown in fairness,  but have you listened to the Russians if other countries can be like that so can Britain
If they are rude we can be rude also, whats wrong with that?
its good for them

What has Russias sacrifice got to do with this. Johnson was attacking Putin NOT the Russian people.

What a dumb thread.

well he is Russian, and they elected him

They don't have a very good record of electing leaders, I blame them for that at least

UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson's likening of Russia's World Cup to Hitler's 1936 Berlin Olympics has been branded "totally irresponsible" by the Russian ambassador in London.

Alexander Yakovenko said "nobody had the right" to compare Russia - which lost 25 million lives in World War Two - with Nazi Germany.

Speaking at the Russian Embassy in London on Thursday Mr Yakovenko said Moscow considered the foreign secretary's comments "unacceptable and totally irresponsible".

"The British government is free to make a decision about its participation in the World Cup," he said.

"But nobody has the right to insult the Russian people - who defeated Nazism and lost most than 25 million people - by comparing our country to Nazi Germany.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-43503225

complete nonsense from the Russians as usual in fairness it was probably worse before the 1980 Olympics, there were thousands in the gulags then, not sure how many now

The world cup wouldn't be the same without England, he knows that.

Might have been better after all if we hadn't qualified

Boris seems unable to think things through before speaking or if he does his logic is flawed.
Don't disagree with him attacking Putin but not in the way he did.
Russians think of Hitler much in the same way we do.

Whats the big deal its only what everyone is thinking.

Wasn't it some Labour mp who made the comparison?and Boris just agreed.

Heard a clip of this on the news, he was asked about it and off the cuff agreed.

I wonder how many russians died when they invaded Poland from the East when the Germans were fighting the Poles in the west, as Russians fulfilled the pact they had agreed beforehand to divide up Poland with Germany? I wonder how many allies died due to resource Stalin was sending in huge numbers to support the Axis war machine before his friend Hitler turned on him?

*resources plural

Its possible the two Russians , the man and his daughter will not survive
When they were in the shopping centre sitting beside each other their eyes were white
and they had lost control of their bodily functions
A very cruel thing.

Now it may surprise some on here but I'm not a lefty, luvee Corbynista but I like many on here who have leanings to the right of centre am appalled at his comments. The Russians paid a very heavy price during the Second World War and did as much as any other country to defeat the Nazis not that any of our war films dipict that. I fully support our governments stance but this episode is fast becoming a pathetic infant school name calling exercise with dangerous consequences

Lfc once the life support machines are turned off, sadly it's curtains

all this is to take our minds off what really is going down

The Germans paid a very heavy price for WW2 , they started it along with Russia
But the Germans are not using nerve gas any more, unlike Russia

Well said dan.

Not sure about Germany paying a heavy price. They got Europe-except us- without firing a shot, after a respectful wait.

Of course we don't need to look to carefully at the contribution Russia made in WW2 Russia sat back like a big fat toad for a large part of the war while it was helped to survive by the western allies,

then you woke up.
russia fought the nazis in the spanish civil war....the uk failed to join the russians to stop a growing nazi machine.

no wonder russia were very sceptical of the ***** pants uk

Ah so the Soviet Nazis were causing trouble in then Spain as well, this at a time when the soviets were murdering, and starving, and torturing and sending thousands of their own people to the gulags without trial, and how was Russia better under the dictator Stalin than Spains Franko
Its simple they weren't , and a large part of Europe under their opression wasn't either after WW2, so pipe down about Spain

how many do you think the Americans have killed though wars since 1945?

jesus i forgot how bad this forum is for attempting to justify their beliefs.

the russians were fighting the fascists.

if the uk had of helped them when they asked its less likely that the 26mil  russians killed by the nazis would have lived.

he"s also a big fan of the Iraqi war and all the sh1t that went/goes with it, but then he will say "you a liar ducky"

silly boy, the Russians signed a pact with Hitler to start WW2

They had no intention of fighting Hitler, or facism, they were facists themselves

And they remained facists for the best part of 70 or 80 years, and are not much better now

im talking before world war 2 in the spanish civil war.

why would russia join the allies in ww2 when they were ignored by churchill to fight the fascists?

try and understand this, a regime like Stalins Russia had no business being anywhere near Spain
Now is that simple enough for you?

try and understand this, a regime like Stalins Russia had no business being anywhere near Spain
Now is that simple enough for you?

and the yanks had no right to be in the middle east and still havent

in fact the uk and france's actions helped the nazis grow.

a stain on humanity

the nazis and italians fascists had no right beign anywhere near spain....is that simple enough for you

Democracies like America, and Britain and others are the only countries that have the right, they have the right to overthrow Nazi Germany, they have the right to overthrow any such dictatorsip or country such as soviet Russia that murders millions of its own citizens
There are free democracies which have rights, and dictatorships that do not
Do not confuse one with the other

The German Nazis had no right to be in Spain and the Russian Nazis had no right to be in Spain
They were the same thing, Hitler and Stalin
is that simple enough for you?

they have no right.
democracy is a shambles in its current form.

russia chose sides like your buddies did.
event he yanks chose the fascists  till it was decided they couldnt sel arms to either side lol...sums those ***** up

they would have helped the nazis in ww2 if they went by their original choice.
was well known they had supporters there.

a stupid country pumped up by their egos.

how many do you think the Americans have killed though wars since 1945?

What around the world terry or each other

the yanks actually wanted to sell arms in the spanish civil war but after an agreement they were told they couldnt....they managed to sell some bombers to the fascists just before.

they have no shame.

they only got involved in syria because of an oil pipeline.
assad said no so they joined the rebels and ended up arming.....ISIS.

what a bunch of *****

around the world UFC

It always seems strange to me the amount of abuse the Americans get when ultimately it is the Americans that will come to not only this country but also Europe's defence Given the choice (A poor choice granted) whatever your political persuasion who would you prefer Trump or Putin ?

America the biggest contributors to the Nato budget Dan.

Yep and if Trump did follow through with pulling out of NATO unless other countries paid their way we'd be in big doo doo

Still as long as the left keep having a pop at them everything is hunky dory, strange given the atrocities you never see them outside the Russian embassy

or in telford

Didn't know the Russians had an embassy in Telford..........you learn something everyday!

They had supporters in the UK as well.

At the end of the day the USA, its soldiers and industrial capacities, helped win the war against the Nazis and also helped make sure the Soviets stop in eastern Germany.

Got to love the thinking of the communist apoligist yank hating leftie conspiracy theorists.
It's simple historical fact that Hitler and Stalin carved up Poland and Eastern Europe before the outbreak of ww2, that they both then invaded and took them over and both brutally opressed those lands (Katyn Massacre for a start), as agreed, that Stalin was then sending loads of resources to feed the nazi war machine before Hitler to his surprise turned on him.

And who is the STalin apoglist angry ant? Conspiracy nut nonsense about the Americans wanting to aid "Fascists".

Well what would Chit Chat be without regular nonsense on this and of course the one side rubbish about the Spanish civil war.

angry AT. Angry ANT is a totally different thing. It's an annoyed 6 legged insect with a brain of a Corbyn supporter.
