At the end of the day the USA, its soldiers and industrial capacities, helped win the war against the Nazis and also helped make sure the Soviets stop in eastern Germany.

It's simple historical fact that Hitler and Stalin carved up Poland and Eastern Europe before the outbreak of ww2, that they both then invaded and took them over and both brutally opressed those lands (Katyn Massacre for a start), as agreed, that Stalin was then sending loads of resources to feed the nazi war machine before Hitler to his surprise turned on him.
