Another item for this list that costs just £1.03 which includes postage (I kid you not) is a battery voltage meter. It may take a few weeks to arrive (from China) but it works a dream. From my understanding, after turning the engine lights on it should read around 12.7. Once cranked it should be 14.0 or above that tells you your alternator is working fine. Anything less than these figures instantly shows you could have a battery and/or alternator problem. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter and view. For circa £1 it is another must-have piece of equipment for your car. |

If I can get a ticket then yes, definitely, however, it is hard enough to get a ticket when there are 80,000 of us let alone less than half that figure, but I will be trying. |
