I remember him being some Eastern European mechanic in the series 'Taxi' but that aside I don't know anything else about him.

He was a very strange comic.
Among the things he did was to just read a book out loud to his audience, or to get some coaches and take the whole audience home for a drink! He was very tall, I believe 6'4" or so, which imo, he didn't look - not this has anything to do with anything. Also REM's song "man on the moon" was about him and not about whether man went to the moon or not - despite what conspiracy theorists believe. |

I watched Man On The Moon and i was hooked on Kaufman ever since.....Looked up everything on u tube and everything else i could find about the guy.
