I'd say killing and nearly killing your own citizens with a nerve agent on your own streets is a far riskier strategy than doing it in another country.

They specifically state they went to the cathedral and they don't know whether they were near the house as they don't know where it was. Fair enough taking issue with whether you believe them or not but there is no need to make things up.

They didn't "trigger" cameras - it's a video - they agree that the screen grabs from the video are them. 

They presumably waited for each other if there was any slight delay at some point and then went through the arrival gates together.

Talk about grasping at straws.

Imagine if UK accepts Russia's request for a joint investigation. UK authorities could easily interview these two. But they won't do that and will repeatedly release enough information to feed the british public's Russophobia.

I just don't think two Russian Citizens who would have to have gone through the lengthy and convoluted process of obtaining a UK visa by filling in an extensive application about themselves, paying a visa fee then attending an appointment at either the Embassy or a Visa application center in order to have their biometric data taken and their passports sent away to be processed could be described as having "made last-minute travel plans".
