only retrospectively will she be remembered as one of the finest politicians and prime ministers of modern times.

longest serving home secretary for 60 years, holding together a tory civil revolt and infighting and still holding dignity.
tough as nails,shrewder than barney.

you may take a break to consider who preceded her-

It's quite amazing how people see things differently.
IMO...
She's the weakest PM this country has had since the 19th Century.
A woman who botched her job as home secretary, someone more interested in her position than any ability.
She changes her mind to suit whatever the latest advice is.
She rarely, if ever, answers a question.
AND always uses the words "let me be clear" or "I have been clear", without EVER being clear.
Totally useless.
This is more likely how she will be remembered, if at all.

Teflon Tess already performed a miracle hanging on to leadership after what has got to be one of the most arrogant and ultimately stupid decisions in recent political history when calling an election to 'strengthen' her negotiating position with the EU.
Then she mislead the Palace, saying she had done a deal with the DUP, when in fact it took another 17 days (and a billion quid of taxpayers money) to seal the deal.
She then appeared, looking like she'd come straight from the embalmers, telling the public that brexit was safe in her hands.

she,ll be remembered for setting a target of under 90,ooo migrants as home secretary and cracking the champagne open when she got it below 300,000

Looking down chav's list, I think they've all made a pretty penny following their Premiership.
I'm still on the fence, still not sure if I would or not !
Not been a great PM (bad policies/ u-turns) but think shes played brexit really well. Trying hard to address everyones issues long after i would have told most of them to do one.
she shouldn't be addressing everyones issues, we should be out of the EU by now
She seems to have higher ambitions than us though. Not just brexit but a brexit that everyone can almost be ok with.
Really ? why did she nor anyone else worry about doing that in the 40 years previous
Now I don't care what she thinks is good or bad
And after we have left it is her job to worry about what we think is good or bad
And if we don't like it then she loses her job
Good, that's fine that's all she needs to know

Dont know, maybe shes appealing to conservative remainers, maybe she wants a legacy of uniting people through a tough situation.
If she told the remainers, the eu, her chancellor etc to f off (like i would have by now) then shes potentially losing votes she'll never be able to win back

We don't need to be burning bridges for the hell of it imo.
Good luck to her I say
Good luck to her I say
its the bridges that are causing the problems, get rid of them
contrary to most i believe she had to call the election, otherwise her tenure would have expired before the conclusion of our seperation from the EU.
look at the polls now.

Too many detractors gunning for her to be going gung-ho at full tilt and we wouldn't want her to miss any slights of hand now would we. We shall get there, I hope, without being skinned.
She is doing well considering she has been backstabbed and undermined by so many vested intersts within the media ,EU and politics.
she hasn't done anything yet, she has been very busy doing nothing
backstabbed by her tory mps, shirley not
when is the next speech to clarify what she will say in the future?

We shall see 71. We shall see.
lol backstabbed , mainly by the backstabbers in the tory party
on yet another 45 minute boring monologue this time about housing saying absolutely nothing, she,s mastered the art of fillyblustering
this tory government has let down the youngsters, they are right to be annoyed
but they will be annoyed for a long time as we will do nothing but talk about a time
in the future when things will be better and we will then attempt to claim credit for
the improvement.
dont worry we are looking for improvement and at the slightest sign of it will tell
the doom mongers they were wrong and us patriotic brits were right , or will be
when things right themselves.

I saw some of that, 1st time poster.
She really did say nothing!
No changes actually announced, just a load of guff about how change is needed.

Some people take a little longer than others when coming to decisions. But sometimes they make better decisions, eventually
May might be one of those

She has been poor so far, but often in a new job the best people can seem to be poor, even out of their depth and uncertain
But they are not, something clicks into place
