Several Armed teachers would be the impression I would Give , Even if only One ,These so called nutters are Cowards they will not want to be ending up in a Gunfight , Never the Less they are nutters and if they think they will be confronted they will probably just go else where to Kill people , Cinemas and Mcdonalds have been done in the Past. Armed staff at schools might save schools but it wont stop the mass Killings ,the country has some very fcked up people living in it, having guns freely available is not Ideal .

I remember after 9/11 there was talk of having an armed guard on aircraft.
A knee jerk reaction and not dissimilar to this. Once thought through I'm sure he'll change his mind if he already hasn't done so. |

American schools should have armed security and also some teachers should be armed It there is another attack and there is no armed security and the teachers and staff have no way of stooping an attack or defending the schoolchildren and themselves then they have failed in their duty and parents of any children killed or injured should sue the government for millions of dollars and officials and ministers should be taken to court and jailed |

Because school shootings are invariably carried out by current or former pupils, the armed teachers might well be in the position of having to shoot a child they have known for years. I don't envy them that, or the nightmares.

A lot of British schools have security guards outside and some check for knives. I don't see why that couldn't be done in America. This cop (or whatever he was) that Trump criticised for not going in -- if he's there all day then maybe he could have been redeployed to check for firearms. But in this particular case, it also seems there had been several tip-offs that were ignored.

There was some talk in England about re-training ex-army personnel to become teachers as a way, hopefully, of instilling some level of discipline in the classroom. Now there's a thought. Highly trained soldier, sorry ex-soldier, versus nutter with gun looks better. Doesn't it?
