question?does any female animal kill its offspring.

Some mice  will eat their  own young if food is in short supply,this enables the mother to survive
and have more young in the future.

Hamsters do....

If a mother guinea pig has a back to back pregnancy, (two litters of babies extremely close together), she may be more likely to eat her babies, due to nutrient deficiencies.

another question?if a dog has a load of pups and one dies,is it because the one that dies is not strong enough to fight for food,or have any you ever heard of the mother pushing the weak pup away.?

When food is scarce some animals will sacrifice the weakest of their offspring by only feeding the stronger ones.

Theres a clip online of a bird killing the weakest chick in the nest.

believe it or not aka,during the great famine in Ireland when food was near gone  the family would give the food to the strongest in the family in the hope that strongest might be able to get some food for all the following day.

I'd never thought of that level of survival instinct in humans

I used to love keeping hamsters until one day I saw my female hamster licking one of her babies clean - I thought. No, she bit its head off

I had always been upset by the hamsters biting at the bars of the cage, so after seeing that I let them have the run of a spare room.  You can imagine what happened, no killing of babies but loads of hamsters!
