Iceland may ban circumcision

Besides religious practice people do have a circumcision for health reasons.

pumphol is correct,i know a guy who has just had it done for health reasons,he is over 60.

Also for cultural / traditional reasons and for medical necessity.

There are very high rates of male circumcision in the USA. The male children of the British Royal family are also routinely circumcised.

I've made a distinction between health and medical necessity.

The former being the belief that it's more hygienic ie lowers the risk of STIs and the latter being a requirement due o pain, discomfort, infection etc

Me, I had it done because my wife won't touch anything unless it's got 10% off.

It's lovely to see Jack Russells and Rotties wagging their tails these days. Interesting that docking them was seen as cruelty and banned, whereas you can still legally lop bits off human children.

Those great Doctors Rimmer, Lister, Cat and Kryten on Red Dwarf knew the dangers. They avoid smegheads! I would be surprised if more than a few knew the derivation and the relevance.

Apparently the end of the chap dries up and loses a lot of sensation.

Have it done for medical reasons, i.e. it's too tight.

Have it done if you're an adult and it's your own choice.

To enforce it unnecessarily upon a child is barbarism.

I had mine done when I was 6/7 y/o. Apparently my foreskin was too tight so it had to be done. I was embarrassed about it as a kid because most people are Cavaliers, but I like being a Roundhead. I even got an Atari 2600 console for my loss. It was no skin off my nose!

Women DEFINITLLY prefer it.
