Just seen the first one of the year in my garden.

https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/oystercatcher

They've nested here for each of the six Springs I've lived here.

Have you seen any where you are yet?

We don't see them here in suburbia, Trilby. At the moment I can see a thrush in my garden. In the last five minutes I've also seen a wren, a male blackbird, woodpigeons and a magpie.

You would need to shoot many more than one around here, there's an epidemic of them.

we have been visited recently by a flock of blackbirds, about 12 of them, and a thrush has
joined them. quite odd to watch as they usually chase each other. mixed males and females.

we also suffer with magpies, tis pity they raid so many nests.
