Interesting comment by the 'producer'   of this show. Basically saying what so many Islamaphobic critics have commented on.

So what do I hope people take away? Well, I want the Muslim community to consider why the patriarchal aspects of Islam are emphasised at the expense of more fundamental values of equality. There are so many Muslim female role models our young girls should be learning about in order to understand their worth. Their rights are prominent in the religion itself, but are omitted in the current narrative.

giving them pardons would create a situation whereby unreasonable governments could be
challenged by direct action with a get out of jail free card.

some of the crimes they were jailed for were pretty serious offences

quite a dilema for a woman prime !

No such thing as equality when women dont get prosecuted for selling sex on the streets simply because they decided to have a nice little smack habit.

dusty - that's an interesting point. The same feminists bemoaning 'Darts Girls' don't speak out against prostitution.
