if i remember correctly Sylvia was busy.

Sylvia;s mother was rude to the caller imvho ,i think all he wanted to do was say goodbye.

Sylvia would be about 70 now, and I'd be surprised if her mother was still about.
The fella from Galveston way must have got right  fed up with people asking him about his mother in law!

Surprising they got away with the B side in those days.

The operator would be a good age also,but would be very rich getting 40 cents every 3 minutes.

and i know a lot of you will not agree with me,but i think mrs Avery was a nose'y cow,it was none of her business,i can not see why the entire Avery family did not leave the phone off the HOOK.
