..... when I use the self service at Sainsbury's, I've noticed that when I put the money in to pay, it gives me a strange combination of change. The other day, I thought I'd get it at it - you won't beat me. My bill came to £1.95, so slyly I put a 5p piece in, then a £2 coin. It gave me 5x2p back. If I'd stood in the queue, & got served by the cashier, they would of given me a 10p piece - they would of never dared give me 5x2p for change. What is going on here? This has really played on my mind.

Has it developed a mind of it's own & doing what the cashier would love to do, has a w@nker programmed it like this, are there people watching you on CCTV and giving you change this way to see your reaction, has someone paid their years worth of 2p savings in on a £27 shop? Actually I think I might do this Laugh

Never seem to get 10p's when I use Sainsburys self service, it's either 5p or 2p coins.

Are they getting shut of the shrapnel people have poured into the change machine?

I find these self service machines very convenient for getting rid of small change.
