Downsizing. Good grief, what a mess and excruciatingly boring.

The trouble with cinemas are the other people and you can't pause it to go for a wee.  Can't have a cup of tea either.  The films are very much mostly Hollywood outputs too.  I last went in 2006 and can't see myself ever going again.

Downsizind, When scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall as a solution to overpopulation, Paul (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.

As I get older, I just think there are better things to do than sit here watching this shoite, I've walked out of a few films.

The 1st - and I'm surprised everyone didn't walk out - was Mamma Mia. We just went into a different cinema and saw Kung Fu Panda - which was MUCH better.
Then there was Happy feet, which was like watching a visual rendition of a 1970's 'top of the pops' album (by different artists) as bought for 50p at the local Shell garage.
Then Pirates of the Caribbean 2, mainly because it was so dark. I could have stayed at home and shut my eyes for a couple of hours, so that's what I went home and did instead.
We went to the extra special IMAX cinema in Bradford (kenny mann will know it) to see Avatar in 3D and IMAX. Well, 1/2 of Avatar in 3D and IMAX. As we're over 7 we decided enough was more than suffered.

So, you're not alone Johnny.

I also wouldn't go if you paid me STUDYFORM. As mentioned above, surrounded by noisy ignorant people rattling bags for two hours, then coming out thinking the film was a load of pony.

I would have walked out of Avatar if it hadn't been for the fact that I needed the lift back! Utter garbage.

Ordinarily I try to ensure will be a film I will very probably like with a little prior research. Not going to spend £14 on a gamble.

Was really young when my dad took me, my brother, and 3 cousins to watch evil dead. There was a popular american program on TV called Major Dad(about a bald american dad/funny). We were too young to know the difference between dad and dead. And of course I didn't know what evil meant either. So I was expecting a comedy film just like Major Dad.

About half an hour into the movie my cousin p1ssed his pants and we had to spend the rest of the movie time outside waiting for my dad to pick us up. That's the closest ive come to walking out of a film.

I hadn't guessed it, Facts. I was quite surprised when I was told about it an hour later. It made parts of the film make more sense once I knew.

I've tried to watch it since, but still didn't like it much.

Along similar lines. I was told the endings of two films before I watched them. They were Shawshank and Fight Club, and I wished I hadn't known them.

I totally agree about Avatar, talk about disappointing. In fact I did actually walk out of that thinking about it although I was watching it at home and thought sod this for a lark so took Muttley to the pub for a couple of liveners instead.
Report SlippyBlue February 1, 2018 7:10 PM GMT
Oh forgot to say to akabula, don't take my word on Dunkirk, see it for yourself. It just had such high reviews, and 8.1 on IMDb which is a guide I always refer to before deciding to fork out to go and see a film so I was expecting great things. It just left me feeling somewhat bewildered that it was quite so poor and the beach scenes were quite frankly totally unrealistic and basically laughable. That was my take on it anyway.

Rock Star thank you acey, and best sound track EVER - just pipping Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure. Some of that Steel Dragon stuff such as Living The Life and Blood Pollution ranks up there with anything anyone has ever done on the metal front - shame there's no such band :-( (ps why can't I add smileys or edit my text, ie italics, highlighting, underlining?)
