Well I think it's a good thing and no I'm not a trump fan. Haven't a clue really as far as politix goes but I would say this.
Shunning him totally isn't going to alter his status. He is what he is and talking to him isn't siding up to him. Communication communication communication. Talk talk talk. Discuss discuss discuss. And then talk some more. In ever decreasing circles it's the only way. |

SF why don't you draw up a list of what the forum should be used for.
We could all adhere to it and you wouldn't get so upset. |

Tis good news for the country but no doubt the protestors will be out sharing their bile with us.
|

I think it will boost the countries moral, like Kyle Edmond or winning medals at the forthcoming Winter Olympics.
When he cancelled last time, people seemed really disappointed that they couldn't have a feelgood demonstration. One guy even complained to Radio 5 that he couldn't get a refund for his train ticket he bought for the original demo. It will be a welcome boost for the cardboard sign and felt tip pen industry , and we might even see Jon Snow self combust live on TV! |

thought it was a working visit
maybe we can buy some american coal and sell him some wind turbines and washing machines without tariff, that would be handy. oz neville and dennis would happily reprise their building exploits in usa, if granted work permits, i think he likes our workers and has some bricks to arrange |

Osmond,
if they only talk about the ephing weather channels remain open. You can't ignore America and for all intents and purposes, right now, he is America. |

First port of call would be the Sean Hannity programme; on weeknights at 2am UK time, but available the next morning on Youtube. |

If you don`t have Fox News on your tv, you can watch it online;

arrest anyone who protests, take them to court and give them a heavy fine and a criminal conviction

Yes you will be able to listen to drivel like this Sean Hannity: The New York Times is trying to distract you. They say Trump tried to fire Mueller, but our sources aren’t confirming that! Sean Hannity, minutes later: Alright, yeah, maybe our sources confirm Trump wanted to fire Mueller. But so what? That’s his right. |

Give how much coverage the Trump-hate campaign at the BBC gave some snowflakes protesting against Trump in the US the other day, I'm sure they'll be encouraging mass protests here.
I noticed that John Sopel, the BBCs US based Trump Hate cheerleader, was in Davos yesterday. Why, I wondered. He's the US correspondent, not the World business correspondent or Swiss correspondent, why was he in Switzerland, the other side of the world from the USA, when it was a world gathering? Is it because he just follows Trump around like stalker throwing insults at him, as that's his entire job these days? |
|
By:
Or maybe what is discussed at Davos will potentially have implications for both US domestic policy (industry, deals, jobs etc) and also for US foreign policy.

To WANT to fire Mueller and to TRY to fire Mueller are not the same thing, as `to want` and `to try` so not mean the same. The Don `wanted` to, but didn`t `try` to. Is English not your Mother tongue? Where are you from? I`m guessing North Korea?
|

By:
"North Korea" Is that the best you've got? Trumpkins never fail to provide amusement to the crowd.

Great news for the UK.
I may even travel down to Nigeland and stand with my right hand on my heart, as a mark of respect. Do you think he will bring his demo fiddle? |
|
By:
Only the workshy and rent-a-mob will be out to protest. They will not be doing so in our name.
|
|
By:
It will be the biggest protest in British history. I have never been on a protest march in my life, but I will be on this one.
|
|
By:
You would take a day off work to do that Dave?
What are you going to have on your banner? |
|
By:
I missed this announcement (knew Macron/Trump have a State Visit).

More of my posts removed.
On a thread like this?!?!?! Amazing isn't it? Anyone with an opposing view is automatically a "snowflake" or a "luvvie" which is meant as an insult. They are automatically wrong and being insulted for not following the line. Yet some of you cry "you're being abusive ![]() " if called a name in return. The BBC and any other part of the media which doesn't take the same views are all corrupt and have an agenda too. There are almost certainly Russian 'bots' all over internet forums - I suspect a name or 2 on the BF forum are not just members of the British Gambling public but merely appear to keep spreading the word. What won't ever happen, even when it inevitably gets established and proven that Trump is spectacularly useless and quite bad, is an admission of being wrong about him... It will be: The press, The BBC, Other politicians, the 'left', snowflakes and everyone who has a personal agenda to hound the bloke out of his job |

thats the tory fanboys for you , its never their fault

The American president is democratically elected . There are many countries throughout the world that are not democracies . Until that is not the case anyone demonstrating against the American president is a hypocrite and trying to undermine the great democratic freedoms we all enjoy .
A heavy fine and a criminal conviction is appropriate for these silly people . |
|
By:
Isn't it a democratic freedom to be able to demonstrate?
|
|
By:
The sheer cheek of anyone in Britain to think they have the right to protest against a state visit of the leader of the free world when there are so many barbaric and murderous regimes throughout the world
|
|
By:
You do not have the right to protest against a democratically elected leader , who do you think you are ?
|
|
By:
It is, but in all honesty - what is the point?
The protesters do not and cannot elect him. His visit is to promote UK - USA relations, discuss security and trade, etc etc. So really, what is the point? We all know very well they will cause disturbances at the very least and valuable policing resources will be wasted on this huge waste of time. It's all so pointless. I actually think anyone convicted of offences during in any protest should be banned from ever attending another. |
|
By:
If you don't like Trump that's fine , but show the American people the curtesy of respecting them and the person they elected
